Kahkike Homes

Youth Programs

Who We Serve

Our homes provide care to youth aged 12-17 from across Canada. Youth best suited for our program would be consider:

  • at-risk youth (i.e., experimentation with substance use, engagement with petty crime)

  • high-risk youth (i.e., gang activity, substance use, criminal involvement)

  • youth with complex needs, including various medical diagnoses and mental health disorders.

We serve youth from any cultural or ethnic background, and provide culturally relevant opportunities for connection and personal growth.

We also Offer Outreach Services

Outreach services are available for all youth regardless of their living situation, racial or cultural background, or what struggles they may have. Youth accessing outreach can be supported to:

  • have contact with family or those important to them

  • articulate their needs

  • attend appointments and meetings

  • navigate systems (i.e., justice, health care, child welfare)

  • engage in prosocial activities

The word Kahkike in Cree means everlasting. We chose this name to let youth know that wevalue them and want to maintain relationships for the duration of their lives.
